White Angel Eye Recommendation
Hey guys,
I need a recommendation for angel eyes for my 2008 M3. I've heard the Lux H8? are nice? But I have no idea the process or the product I need to investigate. Could you all tell me roughly what I'm getting into, and the best pure white quality product and vendor? Also, is the process relatively easy? Thanks |

Was asking myself the same questions 2 weeks ago when I got my car.
I went with a set of GP Thunders replacement bulbs (H8) - they are white instead of yellow. You just swap them and voila!

I got some gp thunders 7500k. I they're whiter than oem halogens but I think I'm going to buy some Lux ones instead. The gp thunders aren't that bright. For $20 it might be enough for you though. You can code it so it pumps more voltage to make them brighter, I haven't personally tried it though.
The angel eye bulbs are kinda a pita since it's small space. |

All the plug and play LED solutions I have seen don't come close to matching the output of the stock halogen angel eyes. I laughed at the "20W Cree LED Angel Eyes" I stuffed into my sedan last night. Here is a picture of the results:
Stock on left / LED angel eyes on right As you can see the stock output is more than double. I am a former headlight retrofitter and it really drives me nuts when an "upgrade" performs worse than stock. So to me these plug and play solutions just don't cut it. If you want to do it right you will need to split open your headlights and install Orion Predator V4s: http://www.umnitza.com/predator-orio...60-p-6141.html |

^ Yeah but yellow light tends to spread more and white tends to centralize more. It is really annoying though that the white replacements are not as bright. Agreed, opening your headlights is the real solution.

Coding easily takes care of the dimming situation on those brands.
