Might as well add manual vs DCT to the discussion!

2 - e46 3 - f80 4 - e36 5 - e30 6 - g80 or 1 - e92 2 - f80 3 - e46 4 - e36 5 - e30 6 - g80 I feel like the F80 gets no love.

I was surprised F80 wasn't rated #1 too. If the F80 and the E90 both had an S65 I think more people would have gone F80.

While I love my E92, it does look a bit odd and frumpy from certain angles especially from the front. I also think the flares are a bit subtle for an M3. I'm already getting used to the front end on the G80 but I think it's a bit overstyled and looks more Japanese than German. I'm not a big fan of boxy designs but the E30 does have some pretty cool box flares so that saves it from last place for me. The E36 is just a big fail, nothing really to differentiate it from a regular 3 series plus at least in the US we get shafted with the motor so it gets last place for me. |

I'm actually surprised the consensus here isn't E46 #1. That is certainly my vote. Although I love my E90...

They were all beautiful in their own day, but for sure, the E46 M3 was the most beautiful, even today.
1. E46 Coupe 2. E36 Coupe and Sedan 3. E90 Sedan 4. E30 4. F80 Sedan 5. F80 Coupe 6. E90 Coupe Sorry, but E90 Coupe always had something missing in the rear quarters. It's as if they were going to add something there and ran out of time and released it. The E90 Sedan looked better from all angles and shouldn't be lumped with the sedan as it was a big dropoff aesthetically in my opinion. Also the rounded butt just looked 928ish. I only add these thoughts because this is the E90 forum. |

I always wonder if it is the fault of the forums layout that people may thing that this is not the M3 forum. Even though the post topic says "Best looking M3s of all time".
The e92 M3 vs a regular e92 . Yes, I would agree with you about the rear quarter panel missing something on the regular e92. The e90 M3 vs e90 Non M3. Hands down winner is the E90 M3 with its wider fender flares and arcs. Quote:
