A less common tire brand, but a "step change" from the usual Bridgestone Blizzaks. My buddy at an indy garage fitted these - these are the tires he fits to customers that absolutely need to get somewhere in a blizzard! I had Blizzaks prior to these, but got stuck one time (1/2 mile from my house) in a blizzard that resulted in ~$5K vandalism damage. I bought this set and never got stuck - plus I carried a set of low profile snow chains just in case that I never used that I will throw in with the wheels.

Great on cold/dry roads - smooth and quiet

Used for 3 winters, ~9K miles (I have had Subaru for winter). There is plenty of life yet. There are 2 marker bars on the tread, one for snow traction and one for legal tread. There is plenty of "snow traction" left, at least another 3 seasons.

Tire/Inside Shoulder Sipes(32nds)/Outside Shoulder Sipes(32nds)

Top/8/~8.5

Upper/8/~8.5

Lower/8/~8.5

Bottom/8/~8.5

The original new tread was 12/32nds. The snow traction bars (legal limit for Finland) 4/32.

I am in the Boston area, and a drive down to CT to pick these up would make the perfect excuse to take my E90 out for a cruise. It doesn't get enough long distance exercise with all the awful Boston traffic.
