Whats the point of having a tow hook there If u not towing the car?? Does it look awesome? Is that why?

Usually you will not drive around with the tow hook / tow strap on the street. (At least I wouldn't.)

Normally a tow strap like the one pictured is installed if you take your car to the track. In the unfortunate event you get into some sort of accident or a mechanical issue, your car can be towed back to the pits easily.

I see people daily drive with tow hooks quite often for looks.

I even considered it in Seoul. If someone while parallel parking decided to bump my car...they would be in for a nice suprise. Tow hook through the bumper!
