Lol!! Next time. I noticed that lot after the fact.

I got to the entrance and I said to the guy there, "this is my first time, where do I park?". He said "two-door BMW's" (????) park in the exhibit area. I said "alrighty then", so that's what I did. Once I got past the row of classics and exotics, there was a nice little grouping of bimmers in the back, some modded and some stock, and I felt much more at home. All was good, it was a blast. Looking forward to going back to seeing what else is there.

Yeah i used to go back in my evo days and we would all pull up in 400-600hp evos and have our own mini meets in the lot across the street after checking out some of the cars in the main lot. Sometimes we would think wtf are these (stock subbies, bmws, etc) doing in here in the main lot?! Ha.

But when we all left i dont think there were many cars louder and faster than out group (what a shame a bunch of mitsubishis stealing the show at the end haha).

Some cars are just nuts there though full blown classic race cars that have been retired. I always end up asking more about what they do instead of anything about their cars.

There was a post with some guys with some f10m5s and their different exhausts revving in the cars and coffee lot and im thinking really?? M5s are exotics now?!

Decided to install my V1 as stealthy as I could today. Good thing is there's nothing visible when the car sit on a parking lot. Even if the main unit is in place, you'd have to get your head in the car to see it. From the outside, it's camouflaged by the darker tint on the upper portion of the windshield.

All in all, I'm satisfied. Slight bummer though... just learned that Police in Quebec are now using the Spectre RDD. So I'll be on the lookout and try to be quick on the OFF switch...

Piled the family (all five of us!) in the car last night for a drive through the country southeast of our place. Wanted to get a feel for the new PSS 255/275 I put on my summer set - very impressed so far, noticeably more grip on 2nd gear pulls, but will really test them on a trip to the Arkansas Ozarks at the end of the month.

Didn't open it up or toss it around too much, as to not upset my wife and our two-month old, but did enough to give our older two some laughs. All three kids were sound asleep by the time we got back. Beautiful night for it; unfortunately the bugs thought so too...

Since I got a couple request concerning the V1 install I did yesterday (2 post up), I wanted to put some additional info out there to anyone interested.

You could use this thread as guidance for the power and ground connections.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97545

I did tap into the green/white wire as the thread suggest but I wouldn't suggest hooking your power wire the way it's been done in the thread. Use a proper connector and tap directly on the wire instead.

Then I ran the RJ11 wire along the roofline, hidden under the roof liner and down the A pillar, just under the black "fabric" flap. Then under the dash and in the center console.

I drilled a hole in the ash tray and ash tray "sidewall" where I wanted to get my cable in, then I lifted the center console top section up a bit, by prying between the lower side piece and top cover, near the POWER and DTC buttons on the driver side using a plastic spatula.

From there I just used another random wire I inserted in the ash tray hole, taped my RJ11 wire on it then pulled it inside. After that, just secured all wires, ran my other RJ11 to the main unit which I hung with the sun visor clip under the roof liner near the windshield so it's way up there, resting against the passenger side sun visor, out of view but still very efficient with a direct view in front.

That's pretty much it. Any question, feel free to ask.

Cheers.

So I got to work, parked in my spot, locked it, and proceeded to walk backwards as I stared at her with a huge smile on my face

Garage List
Okay ... shoot me I'm a day late anyhow ...

I picked up my new summer rims and tires yesterday just 3 KM from my house ...

John (JFWM3) carefully mounted them on my babe for me (Thanks John you are a Gentleman and what can I say great craftsman too) ... he can work or shall I say could have worked on my crews any time ... torques each wheel down to the specified factory torque requirements in three tightening sequences after ensuring there are no burs on any of the mounting faces.

... here are John's original wheels that I purchased from him ... I love them, they look great on my car ...

Check them out here they are on his car ---> Click to open

And here they are on my White Tornado ----> Click to open ... photos taken a few weeks ago ... more up to date to follow later

Naturally I had to take my 220m rims and tires home ... we managed to fit three in the back with the rear seats folded down ... could have fitted the forth one too, however, opted to rest it on the passenger seat for the short 3 KM ride home since I saved some tire/wheel plastic bags from the past ... Great wheels and tires John love them ... nice to have a second set of wheels my 220m wheels will now become my winter wheels (since I never can park my babe for the long winter months and sneak her around the block a few times when road conditions are just right) until I decide to purchase that Porsche then the 220m's will stay on the Bimmer and the Porsche will love the new acquired VIP Modular VRS-13 20 x 9.5, 20 x 11 - Stepped Lip, 3 pc. forged center, patented spun barrel, made 100% in the USA Machined/clear center with polished accents, painted barrel wheels.

Last night we checked them both out on the back country roads ,,, they felt great ... no vibrations at all since John had them balance checked in Toronto.

Today ... I had to get some stuff from the drugstore ... they always need time to prepare stuff as we all know ... you guessed right I took her for a test run on the 401 ... don't tell anyone I opened her up for a brief moment to 160KMH (100 MPH) overtaking a truck still no vibrations she hugged the road like she was designed ... oh man what a car

You call 100mph "opening her up"? That's parking lot speeds, son!
