I also have these, but not using as well because of the Quickjack.

http://www.jackpointjackstands.com

Basically I need to mount the OEM x-pipe and put back the Akra and it is annual ritual I have to do. So I was in constant search for a secure four point lift

I'm a fan of using jackpoint jackstands for the front and ESCO for the back. Figured I would eventually take the jackpoints to the track with me but haven't done that yet.

for four wheels up jobs, i have a few esco flat pads that i put under the jacking points. very sturdy, no weird sandwiching of unnecessary adapters to fit in the jacking points.

This video demonstrates it well -

$125 per jack stand is a pretty good price. My challenge is reaching the jacking points in the front and rear where this makes it very easy.

The "JackPoint" jack stands are similar but quite expensive in comparison.

lots of parts. just jack the shit out of one side of the car, slip in your jack stands, then use the front center jack point or the rear diff to jack from and adjust the jackstands up if you need to go higher.
that thing might work on a 5 series, but i have a few low profile floor jacks that wouldn't fit that bridge contraption. my gut reaction is this product makes a proven method more complicated. its not rocket surgery.

Anybody have a lug nut recommendation to go with the MSI 14mm core4 stud conversion? I just ordered the hubs with studs since I broke a rear bolt yesterday and my worn brake pads saved me from going out again. I ordered a new set of bolts last night, but then I started worrying incessantly so I impulse bought the full kit lol.

Core4 doesn't even list the thread pitch for the 14mm stud option. I'm assuming they are 1.25, but can't confirm. I wish they just offered the nuts as well because I would prefer less options! Looks like MSI doesn't offer 1.25 pitch nuts, if that is what I need.

I thought all of their studs are the same thread pitch? I have their 12mm studs and their lug nuts.

Weird. My 14mm press in stud/hubs came with the nuts from core4.

That would make more sense, but I noticed that it says they're sold separately in all caps and with stars surrounding it lol. Then they aren't listed in the online store. I messaged them to ask if they sell the nuts and replacement hub hardware so we'll see what they say...

Funny enough I just ordered from Tom/Core4 this week, I went with the 12mm MSI press-in fronts to save a little, grabbed MSI 12mm nuts also, and some spare studs/nuts to keep in my track bag. For now I am doing MSI thread-in rears (got those from Turner) but will eventually upgrade to the press-ins for the rear as well. I also considered 14mm and Tom was saying he doesn't stock the 14mm nuts right now. Really looking forward to this kit, so many stories of broken studs from folks, feel I've been lucky so far. The MSI nuts do have the same dry lube coating that the studs have but it doesn't last very long on the nut<->wheel interface, I'll need to watch that. Tom knows his stuff, I'm impressed with all his research and write-ups on this.

I recommand not ordering track stuff in the middle of the night on impulse. it typically takes me two weeks or more of back and forth with a vendor before I order. I am finding that there are so many details I don't know about that a typical vendor would have to educate me about the product before I can order that it is impossible to do something in the middle of the night.

Take for example washers. Who would have thunk it would take me a week to order M12 washers for the F80 hub socket hex 12.9 60mm M12 bolts? Did you know washers come with 4 different finishes, different thickness, different OD for the same ID and on and on.

Normally true, unless you've been drinking. In that case don't hold back. Never done me wrong.

Try Slicer for the nuts. He may have some on hand.

Fuel breather valve getting replaced today, have had an erratic idle on full fuel, hopefully this helps, easy enough job.
