220M? 359M?
I know 359M on ZCP is 0.5" wider than 220M, so in my head I always have thought 359Ms are, well, "better".
Until just now, I discovered that 220Ms are actually more expensive despite being narrower, since they are forged. Apparently in the US, 220M is a $1200 option (for 2013 M3). Learned something new today. |

In the US they are both added cost options over the stock 219 wheels. Which one is "better" really comes down to which style you like more, both are great wheels. If you were to buy from a dealer now the 220 wheels are about $200 more per wheel than the 359.

I didn't know this. I was getting ready to switch to the 359s. I really like the look on the 359s.

I have both as 359 summer and 220 dedicated winter. The stance of the car with the 359 is more aggressive... |

In all honesty, I am probably going to make the jump to 18's with the Apex EC7. Drove my buddy's car yesterday with Apex 18" wheels and 265/285 tires and the grip and ride were both noticeably better. DSC was much less intrusive overall.

I was going to get a set of 359's as well. Until I spoke to a fellow M3 owner who has bent two of them on our wonderful NJ/NY roads in the past few months. He is either switching back to 220 or most likely 219. I do like the style of 359 much better, but don't want the headache.

There are a ton of 359M owners on these boards. Please show me where one of them cracked/broke/whatever. It's an OEM by BBS, doesn't get much better than that. |

BMW would'nt sell the 359s if they were'nt solid enough for the road ! I swapped my 220s for 359s and never had any problems , even with the ugly roads in Québec , that speeks for itself !

They also wouldn't put them on the GTS if they were somehow an inferior wheel...
