BMW alignment guarantee?

I tried searching the web and forum for this, but came up dry, so I was hoping someone here could help me out.

From my experiences with beater cars in the past, places like Tire Kingdom or Firestone, etc. all offer a 1 year guarantee on their alignments. Does BMW have anything similar? I ask because I had an alignment done a couple of months ago (<2000 miles driven since, no visits to the track or crazy backroads), and I've been noticing the car drifting to the left slightly.

Am I stuck paying another $180 for another alignment? Or does BMW stand by their work?

I am sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but I see you are in Houston too. The state of the roads in this town is a fucking disgrace. I do know that you alignment will be all fucked up within 5 minutes of leaving the dealership, because nobody in Houston seems to know how to tarmac a road. Fourth largest city in America, but with Third World roads.

Tell me about it. I think one of the worst locations is around Hobby airport. What a nice way to greet visitors to your city, with roads and neighborhoods that look like bombed out Kosovo.

I live near Downtown; there are several streets Downtown that are undriveable unless you are in some kind of SUV. In a normal car, they would crack the sump or tear a wheel off. It is disgraceful.

The BMW dealer here told me $2,000 for 4 tires and alignment. F that. I bet I pay less than $1,400 at discount tires for some PSS's.

I think all of the posts indicate that the OPs problems lay with the roads around Houston and not with BMW. Alignments don't go bad on their own.

Sure they do. I'm pretty careful when driving and have learned to avoid the worst of it. The freeways (most of my driving), are quite acceptable.

The only way the alignment wanders off on its own in that short amount of time without "road causes" is if the adjustment screws/bolts were not torqued down properly during the alignment. Good luck proving that to the dealer.

the OP is asking about alignment not tire balancing.... as everyone said road conditions is your worst enemy, no matter how careful you are.
