The E92 GTS, of which only 150 were made, did the 'Ring in 7.48 minutes in the Supertest in German SportAuto. The E46 CSL with 90 HP less did it 6 years earlier - in 7.50 minutes! A regular M3 was 17 seconds slower. A 997 G1 GT3 RS w 420 HP did it in 7.48 as well.

BMW Nirvana right there. I have a soft spot for the E60 M5 as well but these two are a step above with there rarity. Huge congrats to the OP. To BMW please bring back silver grey!!! All the gazillion blues and dark greys and no light to mid grey which is the best “color” bar none for German sports cars and no better example than this stunning CSL.
