Any way to know if bearings replaced?

New (to me) '08 M3 now sitting at close to 100k miles. A google VIN search turned up posts from an ebay post from a previous owner stating that they had already replaced the bearings with BE Bearings with ARP bolts.

Is there any way to confirm that the work has been done? I am hesitant to just trust a random old ebay listing, but just as hesitant to have it done again.

If you dont have the receipt or the old bearings there really no way to tell unless you drop the oil pan and look for ARP bolts. You could also try see if the car fax shows anything about bearings.

No way to tell but maybe try contacting the old eBay seller and ask to see if he has the old bearings, pics or receipts? Or maybe he can tell you which shop performed the work and you could then check with them to see if they have any record of RBs getting swapped out.

Just a crazy idea as its meant to be ARP bolts which are easy to see, would it be possible to see them using an inspection camera through the oil drain plug? You could even by one for your mobile for $30.

If I remember correctly there is a plate and pickup tubes blocking where youd need to look.

You are correct. It would be an absolute stroke of luck if you ever got it up there if possible at all.
