Oem rod bearing condition - 2011 6mt e92 m3, 50k Miles
Not horrible I suppose, but I’m no expert.
Needed other maintenance like spark plugs, motor mounts, fluid flushes, etc and just wanted to see the condition of the car. Had a local acquaintance do the work, so far so good: went with oem bearings and bolts on his recommendation (I’m sure everyone has their opinions here). Hoping to get a good 3-4 years of weekend / light track use before I hopefully am able to move on to a 991 gen gt3 Track time coming for sure once the new bearings are broken in. |

Not horrible, but still bad. Revised bearings so no copper to tell how deep those dark spots are.
