I still enjoy The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, Joan Jett (Do you wanna touch, Crimson and clover: great songs!)). L7 reminded me of punk, great band.

Another great song is Bitchin' Camaro.

Punk moment? Wendy O Williams opening for KISS, 1982(?). My first rock concert. She wore nothing but 2 pieces of electrical tape and a g-string. I thought the music was lame, but she sure made an impression! I also believe KISS claimed that tour as a farewell tour.

ps I think I have related this story before.

The first concert I ever attended WITHOUT my parents (they took us to see the Stones, Aerosmith, Genesis, etc when we were in elementary school) was in 7th grade and it was The Lunachicks and The Vandals opening for The Offspring. It was the first time I saw a mosh pit. I LOVED Offspring at the time and the concert was awesome. I still remember it like it was yesterday.

The last actual punk(ish) show I saw was The Bronx but that was a while ago. Great band.

I LOVE live music and have been to well over 100 shows. My taste always evolves with the trends of the time. I started a thread on here ages ago with a list of shows I've attended but I can't find it anymore. WTF.

Ramones, Sex Pistols, and L7 - Yes! I absolutely hate Joan Jett!! Can't really explain why, but her music just makes me want to puke, lol.

I like L7 - I probably like Veruca Salt and Bikini Kill better though.

I completely forgot about the Lunachicks. They are awesome. Vandals is one of my favorite bands.

That's so cool that you know that. I honestly felt like I was the only person left who remembers them. So cool to meet another fan. It seems like they have a huge following in Japan and spend a lot of time over there.

I didn't know they had a shake up in their members. When did Justin leave?

God, it's been nearly 20 years since I saw them play. Would be so weird to see them live as they are all still early 20s in my mind.
Justin left around 2003-2004 for creative differences...and too be honest I pulled him up on youtube and his solo stuff stinks. Matty took over...in the studio they sound nearly identical, but live it is completely different. Justin had a unique voice and presence on stage.

None of my friends have ever heard of zebrahead so it is nice to find someone else who is a fan!

Descendents are my all time favorite. I just saw them this past spring here in Florida. Other than them, BR and Ramones round out my top three.

I'm 43 and played in several punk and post-punk bands in high school and college when I lived just outside of Washington DC (Springfield VA). I played in a band called Frodus that had a decent following at the time, I'm actually listed on Wikipedia as a former bass player

The best was going to the school nurse in 4th grade because I was falling asleep in class and explaining to her that I got home at 2AM from an Aerosmith concert. She didn't really know what to say.

In related news: I was at a Prodigy concert about ten years ago (in my top 5 live bands, fyi) and someone had their kid there in a baby bjorn. That was WAY too young.

Yep - seen them live probably 3 or 4 times. Loved every show. They are great. Got to hang backstage with Fat Mike and El Hefe one night after a show at Hard Rock Live in Orlando. Funny blokes.

I'm indifferent on the Friday lineup, but would certainly be keen on attending Sat and Sun.

Yeah, I think the primary reason I never pay for satellite radio is that I absolutely hate the Offspring and they get huge rotation on there. Blues Traveller and the Offspring are both responsible for me nearly breaking my finger trying to change the channel.

Friend Mike Palm from Agent Orange, sitting in my dragster. I was pretty spoiled to live in O/C. Favorite bands turned into good friends

The Crowd, Agent Orange, Big Drill Car, The Adolescents, Van Hated, TSOL, D.I.,Channel 3, Fu Manchu etc...etc.... played all the time

And yes, every crazy story about The Cuckoo's Nest you ever heard.... is probably true

It was a time, like no other.
