If your mortgage company is nutso or you are exceptionally paranoid you can always pay with a debit card shortly prior. Remember that having a credit card or two, using them frequently and paying them off every month is actually good for your credit score. Cancel all those store cards, however. Geh.
I write mortgages for a living. Yes, those debts are counted against your ratios. It is still debt even though you pay it off every month.

You are best served to keep all of your lines of credit open and only use 33% of the available credit whether or not you pay them off monthly.

This is getting so ridiculous, I am tempted to cancel my order and buy a low mileage 911S or order the facelifted one. F**k BMW for handling this pricing issue like this.

My car is ready to be built in about three weeks.
Status 112?

I don't believe so.
Would like to experience the hard shifts of SMG and see if it is sufficient.
Probably do manual though.

Interesting, my first mortgage broker implied that it only mattered once you started getting finance charges, but she was trying to get a crazy markup on me anyway. It's funny that it would be counted since no one asks you to list your monthly "non-debt" expenses. Pay for everything with a check, get a bigger house?

Very true. You are essentially penalized because you are using temporary credit to pay some of your living expenses. But, like you said, you can pay off those debts entirely as long as you do it well enough before you need financing.
