2009 BMW NAV CIC Retrofit for sale
Due to changing times and priorities I have departed with my baby..my 2008 e92 M3 coupe. However my loss is your gain. Here for sale is one of Patyrk's OEM BMW NAV CiC Retrofit units which I purchased from him and installed in my now departed 2008 BMW e92 M3 coupe. Unit is a Euro spec unit and includes HD screen (in great working order with no dead pixels or scratches), HD cable, HD power connector (blue/green one in posts), and full BMW NAV CiC unit with HD and radio/CD-DVD player/radio/USB and Nav funtionality. Sorry no HD Radio capability (check with Patyrk for availability). Also has Sat Radio capability depending on your car/set up at production. DVD in motion coded also as new 2009 units can play DVD's where old 2008's cannot. Also available to do COMBOX upgrades to unit when coded (talk to chosen vendor about this) Unit is in TOP working order with NO problems! Worked great in my car and was only removed due to sale of vehicle to dealership this week (why should they benefit from my hard work and hard $$)! LOL CIC retrofit Unit is an easy install; just follow direction included (see my post and others like technic';s which is one of the best). Unit coding not included but am sure Patyrk can set you up with a session for a small fee to get your car up and running! Great way to get what BMW missed out on giving the pre-2009 cars. Also works with the 2009 i-drive controller (separate purchase from dealership or vendor) without problems. USB cord and adapter NOT included but can be purchased from dealer/outside vendors also to gain that functionality. This unit cost A$2600 Euros from Patryk and others on various BMW M3 forums but will be willing to part with the whole remaining package for $1800.00 or reasonable best offer. Hurry this won't last for those of you buying 2008 CPO cars and such. Do your research and check it out. Believe me as someone who's done it...its the BEST mod I did to my car besides the exhaust. Really brought it into the modern e92 style/world. Feel free to PM for questions and/or advice. ================================================== == My 2010-2011 Idrive retrofit Post is up! Car is working great! new CIC is awesome! http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...=1#post8701464

Am out of town for the holidays travel and business this week but easiest way is to do a search of Patryk's Nav CIC retfofit on the forums and get them there as that's where I originally bought my retrofit from in Dec 2010. I think Patryk lists the part number there if I am correct. Basically my sale includes
-HD screen (which I think my close up show up good enough to get part numbs maybe from there) -HD Nav unit - blue HD connector - red HD cable The USB cable and connector is NOT included. Were left in the car as too much trouble to re-route and release it at a early AM when I did the re-fit of the OEM unit before sale. And the new 2009 drive controller as my vehicle had already had that retrofit done prior to Nav HD retrofit already. Thanks mdrobc

Im assuming the North American maps are fully loaded?
So only addition parts I need are to get it fully working are; 1. USB cable and connector 2. Updated Nav controller and proper trim piece No hardrive included? Do I need additional trim pieces?? My car is a early production 2008

DVD 2010 North American maps were installed and coded with my install. It took 2hrs as you can see from my link so you're good to go. If you want 2011 (if its even out) you gotta buy em and install em from the dealer. Simple job but takes awhile as you can see from my post to do that install. All electronic upload but lengthy. USB cable and connector are optional...if you don't want that function they you don't have to install them as unit will work okay without them. Just won't have that functionality that's all. But works with or without. Updated trim piece and controller is your choice once again. Old drive unit will work but I found that the new unit was SOO much better that I did that upgrade as like the 2nd thing I did to my car...well maybe the 3rd and so it was already there when I did the Nav retrofit in Jan. I have the new faceplate trim piece since the 2008 one has the two openings once for DVD and one for CD. I have the single one which wasn't used which I can include. HD as in hardddrive is included in the main HD CD/DVD unit. Its the 1st or 2nd pic you see on my link. All one piece that connects in the back to your GPS, Antenna, Screen, and main power links to the car, Slides out after 4 screws removed. Coding? Should work fine after straight install but remember each car is produced and coded different so you may have to have it recoded. Talk to Patryk about that. He's pretty resonable and a good guy and can figure out what else may be needed on your particular outfit/build if anything. Thanks mdrobc

Since this is Euro spec, the HD radio feature was not working, correct?

North American HD idrive units DO have HD radio capability but as many have noted they are VERY scarce it seems...Patryk seems to get his hands on one every now and then but they usually go quickly to those on the prowl out there. Good luck. PM or ask if you have any questions. mdrobc13

Update from Patyrk (coder) to ALL Potential BUYERS!!
The CIC Unit does need to be coded to work or shall I say re-coded. Part of what makes the retrofit work seems to be the coding of your cars VIN and codes with the parts and the copputer will then recognize everything since they are all BMW parts and all for seamless integration! See below and feel free to PM Patryk with any questions and particular VIN compatibility so he can tell you what is needed as well as assist activating other options. mdrobc ========================================= Your buyer will definitely need the coding after he installs it in his car. Also the CIC has your VIN and your FSC codes stored so the buyer will need to activation I mentioned in my previous PM for their car. I like the new A7 a lot, but it looks to me it's not that sporty as the M3... Well, I love BMW anyway Quote: Originally Posted by mdrobc13 thanks Patryk... Would it work plug in play just installed or do they need to have it recoded for their VIN/car/options? Don't know so I've been referring them to you so be prepared for questions. Other than that good luck and thanks. Price of coding/options is between you and the buyer man but give them a break okay! So be nice/gentle Rob Quote: Originally Posted by Patrys@BimmerTech Hi Rob, Congrats on your new car! Thanks Rob CG
