Hi all. I found someone in Northern California that sells refurbished brembo calipers with new rotors, pads, and brake lines. The kit is sourced from various cars (porch's, Audi, Mercedes, bmw) that have brembo calipers.

According to the seller I need a GT6 caliper and a 380mm rotor (or smaller). The brand of rotor he provides is "rotor performance" and the lines are "stonebridge" The price is 1400 and everything is included. He provided these picture and said I'd need the first kit.

What are your opinions on going this route? Is the price fair? And problems with going this route?

Gonna need a link bud. Brembo GT calipers come on all kinds of cars. Could be a good solution for someone who wants the looks of a bbk with some increased performance.

That pic of the warehouse with all the calipers looks awfully suspicious lol

Used but like new brakes that are coming from China with no information about the actual source? Best case scenario is these are QA test rejects. Next best case is these are stolen. Counterfeit Brembo anything is pretty common.

I'd rather not put my life at risk to save a little bit of money. Quite a few forum sponsors have amazing deals going on right now on BBKs so ask them.

I wouldn't go that far. Brembo GT's come on a ton of OEM cars. The application list on Brembos site is quite long.

And it's not like this is the first time people resell brembo calipers as "Big Brake Kits"

True. He is admitting they're used or refurbished. Stolen? Idk about that but maybe he just sourced them.

Thanks for the insight nonetheless.

I will never understand why people go cheap on one of the most important parts of the car.

brembos aren’t considered cheap brakes. I’d want to know more about pad sizes, piston areas, rotor thickness, etc so I could compare to stock. They might actually be matched well.

I wouldn't be surprised if it had something to do with these:

I don’t think so unless it’s a complete fraud and the person is passing the new chinese calipers off as refurbished brembos.

A cost efficient brake kit with questionable sources with a very commonly forged brand name.

I did not know brembo calipers are being forged. That is too bad.
