You get the stuff installed yet? Got any recommendation on the best parts?
No I haven't got mine done. I'm currently deployed so there's minimal use of my car at the moment. My wife will drive it to work every weekend to keep it alive. I'm looking to schedule service around March. My wife will be dropping it off. I'm debating to take it to BPC or Empowered Autosport in Cary. What I have listed below is what I'll be having done with Rod bearing service.

Be Bearings -$589
Be ARP bolts - $276
(Discount of $102.11 given for promotion at the time of purchase of Bearings & Bolts)
Oil pan gasket -$45
Oil change kit. OEM 10w60 twin power -$142
Oil sensor (proactive because the car is a 08) $180
Vibra-Technics motor mounts - $295

I've purchased these items already. I'm just looking to pay for labor.

Were you pleased with Eurotechnik? BMW Asheville gave me an estimate of over $8000 and may not be the place to take my r/b replacement job. The S/A was clearly off balance at the idea of preventative r/b replacement. I just laughed when she said "We will even have to replace the head gasket!"

Waylon- I hope you have gotten to drive some of our mountain roads during your time in the up-state.

Eurotechnik is a great shop. Top notch customer service! I even drove an hour just to get to the shop...when my buddy drove me back home I realized I left my apartment keys at the shop. Safe to say the shop manager went out of his way and brought it back to me.

In for info on Charlotte, just so I am prepared for preventative maintenance down the road. I've heard good things about Eurowise.

Wow $750 for labor?!? Shops are charging x2 that. Any idea why they're are so cheap in comparison?

Is this something they did in a working day? Or did you leave your car overnight? I'm based in Charlotte, so that would be a hell of a back/forth for an overnight stint.

Definitely interested, though.

I left my car with them. The shop owner is an awesome guy and so is the shop manager. I drove 45 mins just to have them do it so I understand the driving piece. The owner used to race in the Porche, GTS, and I think Miata series so it was the only person I would trust with this job. I would definitely reach out to them if you don't mind the drive.
