Sent an email to Ryan to change my interior color yet again.

I have been struggling with black, palladium silver/black/black, and fox red/black/black. I just asked to switch to black extended.

Well I've been waiting about 11 weeks since placing my order and it has come down to 1 more day. In 32 hours I'll be completing my delivery and driving off to italy in my brand new M3.

Man, what a day!! Made it from Munich, Germany to Schio, Italy tonight, a over 250 miles and the vast majority on tiny mountain pass roads.

Anyway, here are the pics.

My name on the list. Thanks to Steve Thomas for, among many other things, not having an unfortunate name.

First sighting of my car from the lounge.

Halfway down the stairway to heaven. unfortunately they were having issues and couldn't make my car spin on the podium.

Made it down to the platform

I got a 0 mile car

Me with my new toy!

My wife and I on my victory lap. Golffrr I took two extra. One for you, and one for not getting a spinning presentation. I thought I got something but the delivery guy told my Dad the record is 15 victory laps.

My Dad with the car after we stopped for lunch. He wants one.

After lunch. I love this color in the sun.

Parked in a valley close to the Germany-Austria border.

Great, one thing many may not say regarding this, as they will most likely talk about the car, is that how proud your dad must be seeing his son picking up a car like this from the factory, I'm sure its once in a lifetime moment for him as much as its for you.

Had the first service done today at a dealer in Munich, I had the people at the Welt help me arrange it (and they were awesome). Starting to increase the revs and the speeds now, I have taken advantage of the derestricted zones of the autobahn a couple of times, nothing crazy though.

Plenty is said about how awesome and helpful Jimmy and Ryan are at Steve Thomas BMW, and with good reason, they are. But not enough is said about the people at the Welt. They are so incredibly professional, courteous and helpful. I know in the grand scheme of things it costs BMW very little to provide these little touches to make me feel like a real VIP when I am there for a pickup. But it really does make me and my wife want another BMW to do this again.

Here's the most impressive thing, I *KNOW* it's a marketing tool, but I still love it and I am drinking the Koolaid.

Here she is sitting under the dealer after her first service. Looking all dirty, she needs a wash.

Had some time to look around the dealer. They had some pretty neat individual cars:

Velvet blue 3 series: My wife loves this color and wants an X1 in it.

I forget what this color is. It's not Marrakesh but I think it's close. I love it on the sedan:

Frozen silver. I like the frozen colors in pics, but not so much in person. It feels like it's a fad that's going to blow over to me and be like the old brown and gold cars of the 80's (I mentioned I liked that brown color above right?)

Don't make me cry bringing up all these old threads from when I first bought the car.

I'm not going to replace it in the short term. I have 6 cars and a toddler so I don't have enough time to enjoy them all. I'm simplifying my life.
