Combox For Sale - Bluetooth Streaming, A2DP

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
$115 shipped.

Used, tested working.

Bought two because I thought the first one I bought was DOA but it was a MOST connection/wiring issue.

To retrofit, all you need is a few connectors from BMW, some re-pinning (easy), then coding and you are good to go. I can provide some support/guidance if needed since i just did this and coded it myself with NCS.

Sorry if it isn't clear.

Combox is only came as an option for CIC based cars after around 2011(afaik).
No idea if you can get this working on a car without nav or with ccc nav. My experience is adding this to a car with cic.

Do your research on what is needed for the retrofit before buying please.

If your car is equipped with CIC instead of CCC then it can be retrofitted into your car. It will require a wiring harness and coding to work.

Thanks
Did mine on my 2008 with CIC retrofitted, so it can be done in any car (you'll just need more parts) if CIC was retrofitted.

Instead of buying a harness (usually $100-150), you can repin the connector in about 15mins.

You'll need the following to repin:
1 x 61136913644, BMW, connector, 26 pin $15 from FCP
1 x 61136913626, BMW, socket housing, 26 pin $1 from FCP

If you have TCU and MULF, you'll need to terminate one of the MOST connectors.
1 x 61136931507, BMW Diagnosis Interface Most, $24 from FCP
or you can use a generic one from amazon for $12 shipped: https://amzn.to/2LqIUvx

This is the guide I used to do the install:
