I'd like to see di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg in Force India, but its a big risk to run two relatively young drivers...

I think Hulkenberg and Di Resta are all but confirmed at Force India.
I would like to see Petrov go to Williams rather than Sutil.

I'l be buying my Montreal tickets in a few weeks

So Red Bull, Ferrari, and Sauber leave FOTA. I'm interested in everyone thoughts on this.

Many other members of FOTA believed RBR to have breached the RRA (Resource Restriction Agreement). Christian Horner said the reason they left is because the RRA is unfair when it comes to dealing with teams that have commercial manufacturing backgrounds, and teams that don't.

Knowing that RBR still signed the original RRA a few years back, I think it is odd that he only now chooses to oppose it's contents. And it seems reasonable that Red Bull did breach it, and left before any actual accusations or penalties got applied. Horner then closed by saying that there is still a path back in to rejoin FOTA, and he still believes that a RRA is needed to limit costs. Which is funny, since now that he has left there is nothing preventing the top teams from going all out.

I really hope McLaren doesn't get a righteous attitude in all this and stay with FOTA because of some type of obligation to the other teams still in it. They absolutely can't afford to let Ferrari and RBR outspend them and walk away with next years' championship.

FOTA without big teams like Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes, or RBR will be like unions without employee support. It will be pointless, and without FOTA, individual teams will have to negotiate by themselves for the next Concord Agreement. Where FOTA now has less card to play.

If that's the case, we might see smaller teams pulling out, or even big teams like Renault will give up like Toyota and Honda, when the corporate and accountants do not see the reason behind putting hundred millions behind a sport that does not meet the rate of return. (Championship points money, TV shares....etc...its all in Concorde Agreement)

(Correct me if i'm wrong)....

they're makin more money, so they want to spend more to be fast (and thus make more money). FOTA and the RRA worked when they were needed. Now they're changing their minds (cash in hand).
hardly rocket science.

Too bad for Red bull that you don't make more money for every second you win by.

If interested in reliving the season, catch 2011 replays on Speed. Next up is Malaysia beginning at noon EST on December 20th.

Australia recorded today and I'm about to re-watch.. This is sad.

+1 for Hulkenberg and Di Resta at Force India.

Torro Rosso sign Ricciardo and Vergne as their drivers, Buemi and Alguersuari out.

That is fantastic news! Very exciting in my opinion, as I wasn't really a fan of either Buemi or Alguersuari.

Wow that must have been a tough call, to replace 2 solid drivers, in fact a superstar on the rise in Alguersuari, and replace them with basically 2 rookies. Damn!

I'm planning on going again next year. Would like to sit around turn 1/2 this time around. I will also be driving up reeeally slowly, I got first speeding ticket ever on I-87 while heading back from Montreal last year.

It's the nature of Toro Rosso though. I bet soon enough Ricciardo will be done there and move up to RBR when Webber leaves.

Not too surprised about Daniel Ricciardo, but I'd thought they would keep Alguersuari and pair with Ricciardo.
