Suspension Upgrades - 10 years Later
Looking for advice on what i should do to "refresh" my 2009 EDC suspension with 65k. As we all know, the older these cars get, the more play in the suspension components. I am also hearing a "clunk" from the front when riding over bumps. What have you guys done to refresh an OEM suspension setup without breaking the bank?

65K isn't so bad, IMO, depending on use/roads.
I'd get the clunk inspected and start there. The front control/tension arms are cheap (get TRW) and easy to swap, and are an important piece in the front. Otherwise I'd wait until the shocks go... In other news, Im adding some Dinan camber plates and wondering if it's worth refreshing the top hats "while I'm in there." $225 thrown away, or worthwhile at 50K? PN 31302283650 |

It'll be difficult to properly diagnose that without getting underneath the car and molesting the suspension components. A refresh at 65k is premature IMO, unless you're looking for an excuse to upgrade. The clunk could be coming from a suspension component and likely related to a worn bushing. I'd start by looking into the control arms, sway bar and end links.
