Problem is that you can't really take advantage of it with a tune because it's only available in certain areas.

There is a sound clip of a very similar setup on Facebook. It's absolutely intoxicating.
I didn't see a vid of it yet!

Can the circular area for the BMW roundel be changed to a different shape? I'd like to be able to keep the "///M V8" badges if possible.

It can be replaced with any badge as long as it's circular

I understand the badge can be replaced, you indicated that earlier in the thread. I'm asking if the shape of the plenum can be changed to not be circular so that it can accommodate the OE "///M V8" badges.

That's one of the first things I asked when I saw the prototype like a year ago. Karbonius says they aren't changing the shape of the mold.

That would require a change and remake of the mold. Not likely for one request.

I mean, it is what it is. I mentioned it as soon as I saw it. In the end they're the only company who is doing something this awesome for us so I'm pretty excited, roundel or no roundel.

A properly done CF mold (which is what Karbonius uses) consists of two HUGE CNCed alu blocks. The tooling costs are enormous. Making a second mold, for a couple of people that want a different sticker for reasons that basically come down to vanity, is not at all trivial.

Guys, I get it... I just think designing the box with a roundel when the stock box doesnt have that, knowing that the majority of the community will probably want to maintain the //M V8 instead seems a little close minded, thats all.

I think I'm going to put something like this instead of the BMW roundel...

Edit: I apologize if this evokes political response in anyone. I just think it would be funny and I am a political atheist.

Lol @ whining about the circular sticker issue... Holy pretentious, batman. So what if the M V8 logo is not going to be there? You can slap a giant BMW M Power one instead, just like the E39's S62 decor... Priorities, huh?

And thanks SYT_Shadow for looking into this. Not sure what gains are to be had but I bet it will sound insane!

I think critiquing an expensive product that is meant to be aesthetically attractive (as well as functional from a performance standpoint) is fair. Maybe that's just one man's opinion? No one is whining.

I'll still probably buy the box
