Reminds me of a friend who owns a nice Ferrari 458. Takes it to Cars and Coffee sometimes. Occasionally, some yahoo will go up and say something like "Yo man, ya know a new Vette can do 0-60 quicker".

Always makes me chuckle when they shuffle off.

The license plate on the back of his plane says “my other plane is a BBJ”

Oh and for Hooligan, no, there isn’t actually a license plate on the back of the plane... I say this just hoping to preempt your heading down that road as your anal self would no doubt do.

I always chuckle at that $100M figure. All in with fresh checks, paint, minor interior changes, and spares, was just under $20M when purchased from Paul Allen. Not bad for a very low time (14.5k TT AF/E) 255k MTOW Exec Conf 757-200.

Both it and the 727-100 it replaced were RARELY used by him personally due to the operating costs and were available most time for charter work. Unless someone else was footing the bill or the expense could be written off somehow, a Citation (X for about the last 10 years) is what he most often flew.
