The P3 vent gauge also has a programmable shift light...

Id like a shift beeper rather than a shift light.

I used to have a tvr cerbera which had a shift beeper, it worked really well.

I really dont know why bmw omitted the shift lights on the manual m3. Theyre equally useful on manual or dct cars

Call me a noob but I do think a shift light is quite useful when tracking

That P3 vent gauge looks like a great idea, unless you have a full blown track car you don't really want a big shift light that would look out if place. How is the quality on the p3? Definitely viable if its oem quality

Agree on this...it's really useful for 'heat of the moment' track situations. As someone stated before, probably the best current solution (albeit expensive one) is the performance steering wheel. The lights are actually in the perfect place to see (think it's better than the HUD on M5s). Plus the wheel comes with a bunch of extras that are pretty cool/useful for tracking....and it just feels better vs stock.
