How to protect gloss black ZCP from swirls/brake dust?
Hey guys!
So I got my Gloss black wheels redone since they attainted a lot of swirl marks over last summer. Also, I had a problem where after a wash, the wheels would be ruined by the orange brake dust that would cover the wheels! My wheels aren't mounted on the car yet and I was wondering what you guys would recommend me doing to prevent swirls/break dust. I hand wash my car 9/10 times and when I don't, I go to a coin wash where I just go over the car with soap and water, no brush! I was thinking about waxing them but maybe you guys have some better ideas/ recommended products to help me out. Thanks for reading! |

I wouldn't bother waxing them as wax barely lasts on car paint, let alone super hot wheels. I put on some CQuartz DLUX on mine, and still waiting to install them on the car.
I had good experience with CQuartz on the paint/body. Either would be great. Make sure to clay or a good handwash, and apply the CQuartz in small sections as it'll be ready to buff off within 2 minutes tops. I'm excited to have clean barrels. Have fun. |
