I changed out my idler pulley, then broke the nipple off the upper radiator hose.
No one had one not even BMW. After two hours on the phone I found a place and got her back on the road.

The stress that sets in when you realize you've fucked up an essential part on a Friday night or when you call around and find out that it's out of stock for a week. Been there. Not fun having a transmission exposed for a full weekend with your car on jack stands.

Drove to the office, but they ripped up the road for no reason. So I went a long away around which added 20-30 minutes to my commute.

Then drove to the grocery store, then home.

Interesting. I wonder how that would do vs. paint protection film, like XPel or 3M. I have to strip the 3M film off my car when the weather gets cooler and send my car off for paint correction and new XPel. I'd like to save the expense of having the shop strip the film off, and I've heard steam is the way to go with that stuff.

Accidentally filled with 10 gallons of E85 instead of the usual 3.5.

It's under 4000rpm for the next 120 miles as I get this down to a more reasonable blend.

If you look very closely, you can see California's very cool $.35 / gallon gas tax.

Put on a CA vintage/enviro plate.
I swapped my E46 for an E90 because of a growing family; my son’s name is Jay.

Now, to debadge or not ... hm.

Debate it! Besides they slap that badge on'em all now. Value is diluted so that any hipster may acquire it on their X1 m135 xtrack gocart hat car.

Dropped my M3 off at the dealer for the fan recall. Fingers crossed that they do not screw anything up. I am always anxious to allow people to work on my car. I may have some separation anxiety issues...

Fingers crossed!!

Just picked her up from my Indy.. driveshaft installed, new guibo, new tranny mounts. the TINK noise is GONE. DCT smooth as ever.. Parts and labor, excluding the driveshaft, only $500 which I was thrilled about. All in, with driveshaft from a member on here, total cost just over $1K.. so I'm happy!

How hard/messy/time consuming was the process? My tint is legal (35%) but I'm itching for the classic fishbowl look.
