Blower Recall

Has anyone had this done in the metro area. I've called three dealers in my area and all said that the parts were not available yet. I've read, as far back as two months ago, that members in other parts of the country have gotten it done already.

Which metro area?

I got mine done in Vegas. They had to order a part in though but was done the next week.

In tri-state area. No joy yet. BMW is pretty good about letting me know when the parts are in and I can fix it.

I literally went from fixing the air bag to coming home to this recall notice in the mail.

Try Rallye. I had mine replaced 2 weeks ago.

Impressed w. their service and quick turnaround time.

I would love to say but it was a sweet little deal at a dealership i used to work at. I was able to squeak through since the blower motor literally crapped the bed on me.

Would they replace the blower motor and/or blower motor resistor as their failure would be a direct cause of these burnt wires recall?

i dropped mine off on tuesday to get done....

and of course they have to go over the car.

I finally got it done at BMW of Bloomfield. They just had to order the parts. This was back in July. Wide World BMW is 15 minutes from me but the service department is the worst. The techs/mechanics are good guys but the advisors/management aren't worth two cents (IMO).

I got my done about 3 months ago at Rallye BMW. I just called and they had to order the part and I was taken care of few days later.

Quick repair about 45 minutes only.

BMW of Roxbury. But I had gotten a letter saying I could make the appointment beforehand.

Overall though, Roxbury is excellent. Best service I've been to in NJ by far.

Yes, they did mine along with the airbag recall a few weeks back.

I have an appt. for Park Ave BMW next week. They said they would inspect to see which wire needed replacement. If it's one they have in stock they'll replace on the spot. If it's another, they'll have to order.
