Our plenum adjustments are only to add a more fun sound to the already cool sounding carbon fiber plenums.

Most of the plenum manufactures do not claim any power gains. For the couple who do I think it is only inspiration for tuning adjustments made after installing a plenum, I doubt anything done to the plenum can produce any real gains. I could be wrong, just my opinion.

The Eventuri plenum is definitely a blast to drive with & the weight reduction is always a plus on the E9x platform.

If we have things like underdrive pulleys, intake elbows, rear section exhaust; should we let Alex know to account for that?

This is actually why I asked about dyno gains, if tuners are accounting for anything is there absolutely any gain?

Didn't Alex just mention above it's only sound gain? So sounds like you can include it and it will be accounted for but not for performance gains but just the induction noise.

I don't even get that with 91 octane. Are you doing more highway than city driving? Aggressive (power button on getting into RPMS) driving style or mixed? I am lucky to get 10-11 MPG with an e85 mix (call it 3-4 gallons per tank). I replaced my plugs hoping it would get better but not much luck.

My MPG on 93 is identical to e85 and my driving style doesn't really change. I generally get about 14 mpg and I am in M just about anytime outside of when it's raining lol.

How old are your 02 sensors?

I asked what does he do to actually produce sound gain. I know there is close to zero performance gain. More curious what change and controls are there to increase induction noise.

I daily drive my car. my old commute was 50 miles total. 15% of it street driving.

my new commute is 25miles.. 15% commute still, but with a 2 miles steep incline. 270miles would last me a full 10 days.

i don't know, ya'll need to adjust your driving habits or something.. lol

but i did this drive on E85 strictly to see if i can do it and I only had to fill up twice.. my exact route below

Ventura and Morro address are my E85 stop.

i have 51k miles (bought the car with 39k) and have never changed them. i am running test pipes so only one set of sensors left. I will assume that they have never changed. I have noticed when i am really getting into it i am getting a little bit of the popping when using e85 mix. It only happens when i am living between 6-8k (canyon drives on the weekend, track days, etc).

I get burbles and pops sometimes as well. Mainly when decelerating after revving up to 7k+ and letting off so I think that's normal. It did the same thing with my Dinan s2 tune.

I suppose if the 02's aren't throwing codes they may be fine. I ran my OE 02's until last month (145k miles) before getting a code after running the e85 tune. Also did the low pressure fuel sensor. These combined helped smooth out things. The fuel sensor took maybe 10 mins to install and under an hour for the 02 sensors counting jacking the car.

My local gas station does carry exceptional e85. I haven't tested it less than 85% ethanol yet in the 2 months I've been running e85. I'm left to assume that station's 93 octane (which I always ran) is good too. The station owner is a car guy and carries the full line of VP racing fuels so he sources the best quality fuel he can get. Perhaps that could be attributed to the higher mpg I've been getting.

But, I am running a 3.62 setup so I would anticipate much lower mpg.

Wonder if it could just be fuel quality?

I am in CA so the e85 i believe is very good out here. We are running the summer blends so that may have something to do with it. Also, i am chasing a Porche - GT3 and Ferrari - Pista up the mountain so that may have something else to do with it hahahaha. Thanks for the intel.

Sheesh that's a nice group of cars. How does the M3 keep up with the GT3? That's the only car I'd consider replacing the M for.

I hold my own but i am usually the last one up the mountain (we do Angela's Crest - Sat AM's). 600 and 740 HP are just too big of a gap to bridge. both drivers are top notch as well. Fun group and a good way to turn money into noise!
