Leave it off. You want linear response -- 10% more pedal means 10% more throttle. Same for steering settings.

900 to install the Slon pan with DCT fluid change? Seems a bit steep on the labor estimate to me even if they were overcharging for parts.

DCT fluid is expensive, like $25-30/L and I believe it takes 4-5L. Even if they're selling it to you at cost, about $100-125 of that is the fluid alone.

Had a nice weekend at the track, set a new PB at Summit Point on the Shenandoah circuit.

Headed back this weekend to run on Summit Main.

This is fascinating. You guys both prefer to drive the car, on and off track, without it? I don't think I've ever driven the car with that button off. Now I guess I have something else to try at the next track event.

On my Solo DL 2, I have a screen that shows throttle percentage, brake pressure, and other things. Driving on the street without accelerating, I turned on and off the power button to see the difference in percentage and it's pretty large for the first half.

10% throttle with the power button off is around 30% throttle with it on and 5% throttle is around 20% with the power button. The difference starts decreasing after 10% throttle but that's where it appears to be the greatest. It does make it nearly impossible to just get a little bit of throttle in.

Personally, I like driving with it on most of the time because it lets you be more aggressive on the throttle without trying. On the track, that's only helpful if you're not carrying in enough speed to the apex.

Very good to know. Thanks for the info! Looks like I have something to go play around with this afternoon unless its raining (who am I kidding, it always rains in South Carolina)

Try driving with it off for a longer period of time. This is particularly important at the track where you're trying to smoothly modulate throttle inputs keeping your car right on the limit. With the power button on, the throttle operates more like a light switch with less ability to modulate inputs between 0-100%.

Here’s my fast lap at summit main. And yeah you can tell when I try to ease into the throttle it hits too hard and I back out of it. If you look closely enough the grip does not like this either haha I’m going to have it turned off moving forward

The BPM Sport guys had showed a graph of throttle response in the various modes. I'm sure you can dig it up if you look around.

For the guys talking about the power button - i am about to tune my car via alpine. I totally forget about the MDM/power button in this platform - does the m button control the power button as well or no?

Should i have alex adjust the power response button, or just leave it be with power off

It's however you set it up to be in the mdm settings.

Same car, mine is just Jerez with Titan wheels. APR wing, front lip, etc. Big red #240 on the doors. The numbers are obnoxiously large.

Thanks man! Yeah tire compound makes a big difference

The first time I went to main with the m3 I did 1:26 on re71r

First time on RRs I did 1:22, managed to get down to 1:20.8 after a full season of figuring out the RRs

This last weekend was my first time on Hoosiers and finally cracked the teens! Hoping to hit 18s in cooler temps

As I am making the car stiffer, my video camera started to shake as it is attached to the BK harness bar.

Does anyone know away to damping the vibration to the camera mount?

I am on 275 NT01s, my goal is it get into the 20s this year but I am just doing HPDE's

And the heat didn't help last weekend, I'm sure with some cooler temps your will shave a little more time off
