New VMRs for my 335i ; )
I've never owned a car before that I wanted to customize, so this is my first time ever replacing anything on one of my cars! I have a 2008 335, and I replaced the 17" style 185's that it came with and put on some 18" VMR VB3's. 18x8.5 ET40 in front, 18x9.5 ET33 in back. The tires are Michelin Super sports It rides so smooth compared to the run flat garbage I had on it before! It looks amazing in person too, much better than pics can do justice. The wider/staggered wheels make it look so much more aggressive than it did.
Thanks to Alan at **********s for explaining what all this wheel crap means! (offsets, tire sizes, etc). Also Discount tire did a killer job helping me and explaining the TPMS stuff to me and reassuring me nothing would be affected. I put all new sensors in the new wheels and still have my old wheels. Anyways, some pics. Thanks for looking. My next two purchases will be aluminum pedals, and the OEM aerodynamic front lip. That should pretty much do it for the body as I like the rest of the car the way it is. and one to show the stock wheels I replaced. |

Haha, no problem OP.
You can buy those little M logos for the VMR wheels? They look good. I am casually looking for winter wheels for my (to come) M, these look nice.

Yep, I bought the BMW center caps and the M logos from **********s with the wheels. They came boxed with them. They were both overpriced IMO ($80 I think for the center caps, and $20 for 4 tiny stickers). I did not want the stickers initially, but the guys at **********s said they look weird without it because of the little indentation to put the sticker in. I guess the originally CSL wheels on the CSL M3's were just like this. It's all new to me so who knows

Thanks all! And thanks for putting up with the noobie wrong forum move ; ) I'm really really glad I went with 18's. Not that 19's would have been bad but I feel like these still have a lot of class to them without looking too over the top, since the car isn't an M3. I think M3's look killer with 19's though when you couple it with all of the style tweaks to the body, but since my car doesn't have all of that I decided to stick with 18

can't really go wrong with that wheel/tire combo, but I definitely would've gone with 19's even on the 335

Car looks great with the VMR VB3 CSL style wheels. They do feature a classic design and looks great on just about any chassis!

Hey GuitarDTO,
car looks great with the new rims Seems fitting... One Question: Are there any values pressed-in from the inside of the wheel? Like E.T. or something? Cause if I want to drive that VB3 in Germany, we need that pressed-in. Sorry for my bad language With best regards |
