Tuesday for my fathers car

he said the truck will bring her in either tuesday or wednesday. how long does processing take at the dealership? Would i be able to drive home with it the same day it arrives at the dealer? Or do they usually take a day to code the vehicle?

If the truck gets to the dealer in the AM they should be able to get it to you the same day... I'd make sure your CA tells service that he has a "Hot PDI"

for sure... im gonna call him first thing in the morning and ensure that my shit is the first to get processed. good to know its possible i pray to god i dont have to go on wednesday.... i dont think ill make it. I feel like exploding

Those of you that are already getting your cars from the Fedora, I'm assuming that you did NOT do an ED?

Those of us on the Fedora that had to go through customs are trying to figure out what the situation is. Shipper's web site says they have been released from customs, but BMW system is not confirming.

Im pretty upset. Its a bittersweet thing i guess. The car is at the dealership but my SA told me i cant drive away with it untill tomorrow because of paperwork.... That gets me pissed because i dont know how paperwork could make the delay so great. People walk in dealerships and walk out 4 hours later with a fcking car, why cant i?!?!?!?!?

So i could go and see the car if i wanted to. But i cant take it home. its a pain in the ass, im really torn about what to do. I want to see her, but at the same time ill go apeshit knowing i cant drive it.

I leave on friday. Im picking up that son of a bitch tomorrow morning first thing. Insurance has been paid for, as well as everything else. Im good to go, the car is fully prepped -- almost clear for take off. Im going to be reborn in 8 hours. I cant go to sleep. Im going crazy lying down in my bed. I fantasize about her right now, probably locked up in some cold corner of a lot, dying for the touch of her one and only.... ohhh my god. Im so excited Driving around in the X5M is great, but it lacks that feel of the road. Its so silky at 150mph, i feel like im in a Boeing 747 which is awesome --> but im used to that rough ride, feeling every bounce and spring in the cars step. Ohh yes, I'll be a happy man

My SA told me so many people have been calling to buy out my car, even two offers way above the MSRP. I've been getting so many compliments on the car, and I havent even picked her up yet

Well you didnt miss out... Disgusting traffic heading to NJ. After that it was all good. I managed to log 350 miles in 2 days, so thats good.

here is a joke, my dealer forgot to have me sign the lease agreement. I could have walked out of there with a brand new M3 for free. My SA was just such a nice fucking guy there was no way i could do that to him. Tom is this jolly old Italian man, and he treats me like family. If i did decide to take the car he would have lost his job so i couldnt do it. He really is terrific, he threw in free tire insurance, dent and ding insurance, and a showroom full car care cleaning kit. ohh, and m3 mats (but i think they did that because they didnt delete my rear spoiler. I didnt say anything about it though).

ill be back on september 3rd. hopefully I'll have that RD sport front bumper on by the end of september hope to see you then

Pace BMW FTW! I think ill have to give the credit to my SA though, Tom Forte. He's heading back up to CT but that wont stop me from buying all my cars from him. He is a fantastic guy, absolutely dedicated and friendly. Instantly responds to all my e-mails. And i sent him hundreds lol.

Same here,- I hooked them up with A LOT of sales... but in order for me to continue hooking them up, I need gifts from them

Dont be afraid to ask. Especially if you are referring them business then you should have no shame. what does it cost for them to hook you up with mats, plates and keychains? no more than $80. Its a no brainer, and they usually have no problem doing this if your a loyal customer.

The key is your relationship with your SA. Make that man your good friend because he potentially has great power over the service quality of your car with the dealership. Building a strong personal and business relationship is key. Any salesman loves a customer who sends business his way. Take care of your SA, and he'll take care of you.

ohh. the mos amazing thing is that they gave me the tire insurance before the paperwork screw up. Thats what impressed me, I was very happy to hear that im saving 1400. I didnt ask for it, Tom was like "Dont worry about the tire insurance, we got you covered - nothing out of pocket". I have already sent them some business so they are clearly returning the favor. I like the way they do business.
