Short Review: ACM Modded OEM Exhaust E90/E92 with Black Tips - Pics, Video!

Hey Guys!

Over the weekend, I bought an ACM modded OEM exhaust from a local forum member who had returned their E92 lease. I have a E90 2011.75 M3. I just wanted to provide a review because there seems to be no pictures of an E90 with a E92 ACM exhaust. Lets just say after i had it installed... my MPG went from 14 to 12. I can't keep my foot off the pedal

Sound:
The sound is absolutely amazing for the money. Though this is probably the cheapest route, the sound is amazing. My car is completely stock except for a few cosmetic mods (black grills, side gills, painted reflectors).

There is a deeper growl, more defined when shifting (I have a DCT) - especially in downshifts! There is no drone. I don't hear much in-cabin except for a deeper exhaust note but sound level is quite similar to stock. I love the sound!

Appearance:
The bigger matte black tips are a great look. Though it sticks out about .5 to .75 of and inch from the stock exhaust, it seems to give the rear a more aggressive look. I am thinking about added a diffuser and this would really pop the rear out in terms of appearance for sure.

Video:
My girlfriend got scared... don't mind the shaking

Pictures:

I hope you guys enjoy!

PS: anyone know how I can touch up that chip

Is that just the rear section, no test pipes?

Just the rear axle back. no test pipes. completely stock aside from the axle back.

I'll post more pics of the tips at various angles when I get a chance over the weekend.

Purely awesome. It's amazing how great these sound.

My .02 is that the tips stick out a bit far. However, some diffusers protrude slightly so in order to be flush with the diffuser, it's nice to have the tips stick out a little more than normal. So I think adding a diffuser will be a great touch. I'm not a fan when the diffuser protrudes out rearward so much that the exhaust tips are tucked back underneath it.

I thought it would protrude further but it's about in the middle. I've seen worse haha.

I plan on getting a diffuser. I just don't know which one would be nice on an e90 - searching!
