Issa m3's alpine coupe

About a year ago I lost my e46 m3, a car I spent the majority of time building through college. This thread is to document my 2011 Alpine white dct carbon roof coupe.

Car was acquired in December of 2019 in fairly stock form with 73k miles, original bearings, and in fairly stock form coils and exhaust mod aside.

Here's a picture of the old m3, as well as the new one close to acquisition

First order of business was to clean the interior since it was not up to my beyond ocd standards. Leather ceramic coating was applied from igl coatings. This was later further improved with the usage of leatherique!

At this point you're wondering, rod bearings!? Well they were done, and done through my good friend Matt Coyne at Kassel / Coyne performance.

I chose to go with king bearings and OEM BMW bolts. Not sure the justification for this set up, and went by the recommendation of Coyne, and he had guided me correctly w my e46 m3.

The bearings were pulled exactly at 80k miles, showing average wear, nothing crazy, but it was a good idea to have it done in preparation for how the car will be utilized

Good looking car, congrats and welcome! Looks to be in good hands.

Is Matt the guy with the 01 LSB? Name sounds familiar from my M3Forum days. If so, cool to see he went from helping members in his garage to a proper shop setup!
