Does anyone know anything about this car???

Hey all, I sold my e90 M3 back in December and am really beginning to miss it. I'm about to pull the trigger on an F10 M5...but...if there's a unicorn out there, I might come back to an e9X.

Enter this car: http://www.carlinkautos.com/vehicle-...nj-id-28689457

Not quite a complete stripper/unicorn but pretty close; close enough for me (I think). I'm sure it won't be in the condition my e90 was, and I'll have to do RB's again...but that was part of the fun I guess.

Interestingly, I grew up in Morristown, Parsippany/Lake Hiawatha to be exact. Unfortunately, that was 30+ years ago and I don't know anyone that still lives in the area.

So, can anyone help me out here and maybe take a peak at the car or shed some light on the history? Here's the carfax - https://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistor...274&source=BUP

Thanks in advance!

BOOF-M3 derbo ItsGary Hey fellas, I'm thinking of coming back! lol

I just read that entire Carfax.. Long as hell. Looks pretty decent. Seems like one owner bought it and drove it ~18K miles in one year, and religiously changed the oil every 4K miles. Pretty consistent decent looking (by name) shops for long stretches.. was it wrapped at one point in Blue?

I believe it's Jerez Black so it may have been listed as blue at some point. Common occurrence for JB cars.

Looks great - I love the spec - basically a stripper with DCT.

F10M5 is no joke - blown V8 and probably cheap compared to new. Question is do u need 4 doors or will 2 do?

4 doors would make life easier for sure...but I've always had a thing for "stripper" i.e. low option/low weight m3's. Not sure if it's the exclusivity/rareness of them or what but I've always wanted one. Maybe I just need to check that box. commuting in an F10 M5 will surely be a more comfortable experience but it won't offer the same visceral experience of an M3, much less a lightweight spec M3. Granted, we're talking a couple hundred lb's max...but you get the point.

The other side of the coin is that the F10 M5 is an incredible value prop right now. It has been hit hard by depreciation and the fact that it's just "not special". That said, it's impossible to deny the value of those cars in the current market. Not sure you can buy another car w/ more HP and tuning potential for that pricing tier.

Did you sell your M3 to buy another one? Or are you getting the M5 as well as another M3?

Sold my e90 to a good home. It's either the M5 or the M3 now. I'm letting fate decide. whichever opportunity presents itself first.

owner of multiple E90M3s and an F10M5 (highly modded) here. Go E9X and have no regrets. although the M5 is crazy power, great comfort, classy, and easy to commute in, you'll always be yearning for the lighter weight and pure driving enjoyment of the M3. Also, if you like to hit curvy backroads or canyons, M3 is way more fun. Good news is you can't go wrong with either option! One word of advice, don't get an M5 without a warranty.

I'm with you and really appreciate the e9x cars with speed cloth, carbon roof, and no nav. DCT is a great compromise if you have to sit in traffic.

Thanks for the advice and that's my thought as well. While I'd love a 6 spd (my e90 was a 6spd), rowing in and out of first for 30-40 mins every morning in traffic really isn't fun.
