Edited - Is my E93 1 of 1 with these individual options? 490 U Special painting, individual extended platinum leather and audio. Individual Brilliant White, x4 e93's with that color we're made based on production data 😁

What year is the VIN? Mineral white didn't show up until 2011, so could have been an individual order prior.

Seems to be loaded which I think is nice while some want strippers.
Guessing U490 sp paint is the platinum leather.
Ind audio is a 2kusd option, best they have so nice option (while lacking a bit bass imo).
Piano wood not for me but hey.
Extended leather - I'd love it.

Oh, and whatever car you get Fritz, make sure you change rod shells first thing.

Code 490 means it's an individual color - but it's NOT the paint code.

Here's a list of many paint codes:

Lol stop with the bearings, the car is in my garage, I got the option list from BMW Calgary where it was sold new. Imported from Canada (just KMH on analog Speedometer) so I guess that makes it slightly more unique. I don't think the guy I bought it off knew it had individual options, never mentioned it in the ad or during conversations- just said it was rare being a manual cab.

Heheh but you have to admit the cab shape is better looking than the coupe... It's a cruiser for me, I'm not drifting it. Individual audio is top notch.

Just teasing you mate. Nope I don't think it looks better with roof up, but I do realize the pleasure of riding with it down. Far to short season for that over in Sweden, what about Canada?
So still thinking about it or did you take the plunge yet mate?

Interesting read here.

Have been curious about the audio systems in e9x M cars and why none seem to have H/K - is individual audio a better option than the H/K? My e91 has H/K as did my f80 - both sound amazing although e91 is lacking in the bass department.

No issues with the bass for me, system sounds fantastic- I listen to anything good r&b, club and rock so I require lots of bass from time to time... not sure about what other models have. No idea who makes the ind audio, I'll try and find out.

Believe its Dirac, 825W, 9 channels over 16 speakers. The numbers says it should be great and yes it is once you pump up the volume, but I still lack a tad of bass during "normal" use but guess its tuned for clarity rather than disco, fair enought.

Along with my individual MCB paint I also specced the H/K sound on my E92

In the US you got either base audio or the Individual audio on the M3. No H/K option

Strange that H/K wasn't offered on the e9x M cars. Wonder if I'll notice a difference between my e91 and my future to be M3. Thanks!

It's actually Individual Brilliant White, just checked... so with the other individual options (extended individual platinum leather, piano dash and individual audio) pretty rare since there were only 4 e93 M3 made in that color

No danger of shorting something if I clean the engine bay? I'm old school on that one.

My comment was in jest playing off the rod bearing comment

This is my daily driven 2008 with 64000, probably looks like most of our cars. Ive seen some very reputable M3 detailers (usually obsessed) wash down the bay. Personally, not my cup of tea. looking at some of the aging of the wires on this 10 year old vehicle for sure not on this car.

On the final phase of my wash, I use the damp microfiber to wipe down door jams, trunk water channels and under the hood.
