S65 engine rebuilders

After a main and rod bearing failure on my 71k mile engine, I finally sourced a good block. Who are the best s65 engine builders I can send my rotating assembly to? I just want a stock refresh, not interested in Carbahn, etc.

I think there is one on eBay in Bridgeport, CT that does it for $6k. You could also check with members here who build motors like jcolley in ME and deansbimmer in TX.

I've seen the Emegatronic ad on ebay for the guys in CT, but haven't heard seen feedback on them. I've heard nothing but good things about Mpourium, but don't know if he does engine rebuilds without doing the removal and reinstallation. I'll do some research on Jcolley as well.

Were you on stock bearings when that happened? Supercharged?

Not sure about forum rules, but google my name and s85, should come up.

Edit: Finally went ahead and submitted forum sponsorship.

Everything was stock. 2011 with 70,020 miles. Car would stall on heavy acceleration and restart after it cooled off. Thought it had just spun a rod bearing but turns out it spun a main bearing as well.

You can send your rotating assembly to Lang and they can repair your crank.

I’ve got a good replacement crank and rods. Would they reassemble the longblock?

Likely contact them, they’re in CA. Jcolley is in Maine and Troy Jeup is in Michigan so you have options.

What you can get will depend on your budget. Carbahn, Lang, Fast Attack, MRF, Mporium, are some of the better options but not what I'd consider budget. Your lowest cost option would be buying a used engine and installing it.. A rebuild will run well over that, all said and done.
