My RB wear (6th owner ‘10 E90)

It’s a ‘09 build date. I’m the 6th owner, one of those owners was listed as a dealer at one point. Was on Oahu island its whole life until I bought it at 42k miles and shipped it back to mainland. Currently at 52k miles. Alpine tune since 47k miles. 1k miles of that time had the 8600 rev limiter option before Alex recommended go back to stock rev limiter until RB’s were done. Nothing wrong with the car, just preventable maintenance. You be the judge on how much wear there is. I can’t say what oil was used before I had it. But since 43k miles or so, I changed to liqui moly just because I wanted too. But once the car is back to me, it’ll still be liqui moly.

If you’re in the PNW, the shop I went to is IS Garage in Kent.

Tops of all look bad, but top of 2 is... yikes. I think.
Wish the photo was a little clearer, would be interested to see if any scoring from debris is going on. Looks like there might be. Did you have a blackstone report done prior to the change?

I texted the shop to keep them until I come by and take closer pics. Not sure about scoring but he says journals look ok, no play. Never did Blackstone even though I have 2 old bottles filled just waiting to be shipped.

bearings look normal for the mileage. I pulled mine at 35K miles and they were very similar, 06.2009 build.
and my car was never abused either, just daily commuter car that did 10 miles each way to work and home.

For as much as I thought of how much abusive driving I did. I guess it really wasn’t a lot. Now I’ll be sure to hear the rpm really sing this time.

My 08 bearings with 60k were comparable to those in the picture. I was the second owner and put on half those miles. At 95k now.
