Nice review of the cars. Just out of curiosity, when you say that being "big and fat is part of the appeal for you", what do you mean by that? Comfortable as a daily a driver?

Glad you're enjoying the e92! Any mods planned for the car?

Yes exactly. It is big and heavy therefore comfortable and quiet but the car does a great job of hiding it's weight and size when you push it hard. It truly is an amazing vehicle.

I've already installed an Autobahn Exotics exhaust, swift lowering springs, 95mm studs, Blox lugs, and a Macht Schnell air filter.

I have KW Clubsports coming in the mail to replace the lowering springs that I've had less than 500 miles

Near future mods will be Volk TE37 wheels w/ MPSS, some carbon goodies, LCI tails, catless midpipe, pulleys, tune, and front bumper respray with reflector delete (euro bumper) and clear bra.

And I swore I wasn't going to mod this car

Nice. Looks like you've got a dual purpose beast in the works. I know exactly what you mean about the mods--once you start, there is no "done"!

Looking at the weather for this weekend vs. next weekend...this weekend 70 and sunny pretty much everywhere...next weekend clouds and rain. Any thoughts on bumping up the drive to this weekend?

Unfortunately this weekend will not work for me but that doesn't mean you can't throw something together or even change the date for this drive. I am totally fine with that if people would prefer this weekend over next.

As of now I am going to officially set this drive as HWY 20 (Arlington to Diablo Lake) on 4/26/15. Still haven't figured out times yet but will probably try to meet in Arlington around 10am at the latest.

Nope. We aren't going to be driving in a manner that requires an M. Come on out and enjoy the day/drive.

You basically take 90 all the way down till you get to the canyon road. It's about an 1:45 minutes to the road from Seattle. I don't care where we go though, we can save this trip for summer or something!

You joined over a year ago and your first post was on this....Awesome! Looks like there will be about 10 cars total and we will be doing HWY 20 over to HWY 97 to chelan then down to HWY2 through Leavenworth over Stevens Pass then back. It will be a long drive but it will be beautiful. Hopefully the weather agrees with us. As of now, it looks like sunday will be wet

PMs have been sent to everyone who voted asking for one last choice to be made between HWY 20 and HWY 112 and also, if they can commit so we can have a head/car count. I will post the results and decision by wednesday and will have the route/meeting points map by thursday.

Cheers!

I pretty much did this exact loop last July--very nice scenery most of the way. The only tricky part, from what I remember, will be finding a decent place to eat/gas up between Arlington and Leavenworth. There are places, but they're pretty few and far between.

I would say we should try to time it so that we can either have a late lunch in Leavenworth or an early lunch somewhere near Mt. Vernon, unless someone knows of a decent place in between.
