Id sure like someone to chime in on the interval to change plugs on a SC car. I think I can let it ride another year but I get itchy when I have not dumped a bunch of money into my car every few years.

Iirc, the recommended spark plugs change is on the 3rd oil change. BMW suggest changing oil at 15k miles so technically you can change it at 45k miles

Cant speak from the M3 perspective, but I remember from my days with an SC mustang, that once you SC, you have to go a step colder on the plugs unless the boost is very mild <5psi, yes SCs are harder on ignition systems due to elevated combustion temps. The mustang guys usually do 20-30k on plugs.

Change your plugs if you really want to. Otherwise, you are fine to wait. There is no rush to do the job

I've done my plugs every 50,000 and no issues. The service intervals devised by BMW are ridiculous.

True, I wonder why BMW on one single item recommend shorter interval then needed when pretty much all the others seem too long. Safe side as they are part of the knocking sensor maybe?

I'm sure there's testing to back it up. Could be knock sensitivity drops off after 37k? There is always a financial component to it, because they know that the service department can make easy money on that change. Have you ever looked at what the dealer charges to change 8 plugs? It's ridiculous.
