Thanks. Bit pricey but liked the vid. Wonder what our resident detail retailer (DetailersDomain) likes best.

Already told you once...sonax polymer net shield for the sealant. A good pre cleaner is can be found from pinnacle, Wolfgang, or duragloss(#652)

Is sealant truly necessary if you use good wax? I've never used one but hear really good things about the one you are recommending. What are the perks?

Usually a sealant will outlast a wax by a good amount of time. Above a sealant are coatings which have durability in the years range. Sonax polymer net shield has great looks and crazy beading. Top it off with sonax brilliant shine detailer for maximum looks and durability

So do you use a sealant in place of a wax? Or would you wax then seal?

sealant is more durable than a wax. if you want do a sealant first and then top off with a wax for looks. the wax will not last too long since it is on top of the sealant. for best results for any last step protection you need a clean surface for the product to bond to

Honestly, Meguiare's makes some good liquid waxes. But if you want paste wax, P21s is good for the buck.
