Your opinions

I am wanting to get a new car and having a hard time deciding which one to get.

At first I considered getting the M3 but after deciding my girlfriend moving in, a coupe won't be big enough. I am now also considering the 5 series.

I am pretty young.. I'm sure everyone will hate a 19 year old driving an M3 or a BMW in general. But it ain't Daddy's money or anything like that. I grew up in a different environment then most kids. Started to earn my own money pretty early. Enough to afford my own house and a pretty nice car if I wanted to.

Always loved bimmers as a kid.

What do you guys think for a young kid living with his girlfriend and who is also a student athlete? Coupe or sedan?

Don't hate. Just want opinions.
Thanks.

If you have the income, then look at the e90 M3(sedan). It's a little more roomy than the coupe

Rule #1 for guys buying cars: Never ever allow your choice to be influenced by a girl friend as you will be perceived to be handing her your balls.

Rule #2: If you question the truth of rule #1, reread it until the truth sinks in and pray that it does or else...

Now you know what to do.

It's this thing called a "used" car.

+1 on the E90, 5 series is too big.

+1 about not getting something based on the girlfriend, especially if you're only 19! The girl I was dating when I was 19 is married and has a kid now - with somebody else.

The reason I got rid of my STI was because my girlfriend (I was 24) hated being seen in the hatch. I'm also no longer with her haha.

Moral of the story - get what YOU want.

If you need more cargo room, like if you're into mountain biking or snowboarding or shopping at Home Depot, then get a different car altogether. Get an X6.

You must have a LARGE girlfriend Shake dat fat

Perhaps a 4 door M would also be too small The seats in the 5 or 7 accomodate a big woman.

Not sure I would move in with a gal who could not fit into the car I had. Seems like asking too much for a guy to give up an M3 because his girlfriend can't fit inside

For about the same price you can get a 550i MSport, get the dinan software and its 500 hp. But that's not a typical 19 y/o car.

I'm currently an athlete. Got a lot of stuff to haul and such. I joined a year ago to learn about the car before I buy it. Just thinking now would be a good time.

Lol it's nothing like that. Had a small car before and it was a bit uncomfortable will the stuff I haul around and etc. She used to be a ballerina so she's in good shape lol.

I guarantee that it will be big enough for 2 people of regular size.

If you're unsure, sit in one, maybe take a test drive at a dealership. It's free.

Not so sure I would do the dinan right away if I get the 5. I also do agree the 5 is not really a car for a 19 year old..but I like it lol.

+1 on this. It is your money, you are not married to her. She has no effing say in your finances. Do what you want until you have to make decisions together (marriage).

They're not going to let some 19 year old kid test drive an M3 without an adult present.
