Paint Correction & Respray Approach

My paint has developed significant swirl marks which standard buffing cannot remove. In addition the hood, front bumper, rear bumper, and rocker panels need a respray. What order of operation is recommended for the best results, matching color and finish:

1) Paint correct entire vehicle then respray hood/bumpers/rockers.
2) Paint correct everything except hood/bumper/rockers, then respray hood/bumpers/rockers.
3) Respray hood/bumpers/rockers, then paint correct remainder of vehicle.
4) Respray hood/bumpers/rockers, then paint correct entire vehicle.

Help!

Paint correction is inherently altering your paint and removing some of the clear. I would paint correct first so that all the areas you aren't repainting can be used as the ultimate guide for how you want the car to look once it's done. Then find a reputable shop and they'll take it from there.

Get what you need resprayed then correct the whole car. The body shop might touch surrounding panels so it only makes sense to correct after the respray
