Item stuck in seat rail, removed, now out of alignment

Hi Everyone,

I found there was a penny stuck in the seat rail, so while moving the seats forward, it caused the rails to have one more forward than the other.

I checked all the electronic functions and they all work, however the seat is crooked now. Is there a remedy for this issue?

Thanks!

I've experienced this before. You have two options.

The proper (and more time consuming way) is to detach the gear that connects to the rail and adjust the rail by hand.

The second option is to mimic what the penny did. Place the seat in the car, connect the wiring harness to the seat motors and bolt down just one side of the seat rail. Use the forward/back seat adjustment. The two rails will then move at different speeds allowing you to even them out.

Thank you! I will give these a try.
