F8x Seats in e92 M3?
I have a love hate relationship with my E92 M3. The Motor, the steering, the sound, all in the "Love" column. But the seats are squarely in the "hate" category. I can not find a comfortable driving position, and in particular its the only seat I've ever sat in where the area supporting the shoulders and above is just useless and miserably uncomfortable. I sit far too high, and well I could go on for hours about how much I dislike them. Im trying to find a solution, and after sitting in the new M3/M4 I think I found what would be a perfect fit. So, has anyone installed the new seats in the previous generation car? Im sure it can't be done, but thought id ask just in case.
Thanks M |

True. The advantage here though is integrated airbags, sensors etc. over an aftermarket seat. So basically the other option for me is the performance seats which are About 5k.

No idea, I'm guessing there is a module under the seat that has a pnp harness as well, so if you have to get into changing the harness I would just get BMW performance seats, although the F8x seats would look awesome.

The new seats have a similar plug in harness. Im sure the seats would bolt up fine and mapping power should be easy enough. The part in question is mapping out the other wires to support airbag etc in the seat and determine if they can be used.

Are the BMW performance seats $5k for both in color matched leather? I also agree that the seats are not suited for this car. I saw a set of the performance seats with fox red to match .... would be sick!

Performance seats have being discontinued since last week. Not possible to order them anymore However F82 and E92 have the same seat bolt pattern. I am just working on matching the E46 CSL seats for E92/F82.
