Supercharged DCT Owner's please comment

So like everyone with an e92 M3 I want to supercharge it. Originally I wanted a manual car but I drove my friends dct a few years back and I knew that was what I had to get and that's what I got. Why? Because I absolutely love the hard fast shifts and when the tires chirp in between gears. I recently had the opportunity to drive an m4 competition dct and the one thing I absolutely adored about it was that I was getting a solid tire chirp all the way into 4th! This of course made me want my e92 to be very similar. I was looking at dyno charts for comp pack m4s stock and they seem to have the same or more wheel torque as the 650hp kits for e92s!

With that being said I am curious as to what dct supercharger owners experiences are with tire chirp in between gears? Can you guys get a good bit of wheel spin going into the higher gears? I know there are a lot of factors to this like tire size, type, and suspension I am just wondering what the experiences are say as soon as you put the charger on before you had to go crazy with supporting mods to get more traction and even what your experiences are with the supporting mods. Currently my car chirps 1-2 and rarely 2-3 but I really hope I can bump that up.

Just curious nothing else, thanks!

To throw another variable into this, the chirp maybe the engine belt slipping due to the sudden change in engine RPMs. It's been reported on here.

I'm not saying it's not tire chirp, but you may also get belt chirp some people hear.

Supercharged DCT is a great combo. Flat torque around 400 all the way to 8,600 combined with grippy tires and you have no wheel spin at all which results in the quickest launch and highest speed possible. Some moderate tire spin on 1-2 shift depending on how skilled you are.

If you want wheel spin you can certainly get that with crappy tires.

Why does it matter if the tires chirp.

F8x chassis has major issues with putting power down. My car with a VF kit grips in 3rd depending on conditions and doesn’t chirp the into 4th. I’m running PS4S, maybe with a shittier tire it would but tire chirp doesn’t really seem like something important or part of the experience of the car. The real magic with a blower is when it spins into third if the ground is cold.

Maybe OP thinks that tire chirp means more power?

To me a chirp means loss of traction and you aren't moving.

Get some hankook v12, you'll be chirping all the way to 6th gear. Cheap fixed compared to a SC.

No It certainly doesn't mean that. Shitty tires make wheel spin possible with nearly no power and that no fun or the point. Basically what Im trying to get at is that the smile that I got from driving that M4 with the feeling of great torque and hearing the tires spin upon a shift was truly ear to ear. Just wondering how close of an experience people here have gotten with their e92 supercharger set up. No Im not going M4, There are way too many positives for the e92 platform for me. Yea it means you aren't going as fast hence why people would get better tires, all about a smile thing here. Just wondering about people's experiences with GOOD tires without going super wide to completely accommodate for the charger.

Try a cold air intake, a NOS fogger system system, a t4 turbo. Dominic, a direct port nitrous system, an AIC controller and
" a stand alone fuel management system, not a bad way to spend $10,000"
