e60 winter set on e92

I found a set of really nice e60 wheels with new winter tires for a very low price and was wondering if this set up would fit my e92.

They are 8.5 et15 square with 245/40/18 tires.

I think the fronts should fit fine since it's almost exactly the same offset as my 220s with 15mm spacers (14et). And 245/40/18s are the same size as 245/35/19s. I think.

I'm unsure about the rear? Am I going to need a 15 or 20mm spacer to bring the rear wheels flush?

The E60 wheels at ET14 vs the E90 rear wheels at ET23 will push the rear 9mm towards the fender. The E60 tires are 20mm narrower than the E90 rears, half lost towards the inside and half lost towards the outside so you end up nearly identical to stock at just 1mm inboard.

If you like spacers with stock E90 wheels and tires, run the same ones with the E60 wheels. Tires can vary by up to about 10mm depending on brand and model, so you may want to add or subtract half that to get the look you want.

Fit one and try it out. If you don’t have spacers or don’t have ones in the right size, you will have to estimate. If you have studs, washers can be used for spacing to see how it fits.

Thank you. They actually look pretty good with 12mm spacers on the rear...
