Adams vs Chemical Guys
Looking for some new shampoo and I've heard a few people praise Adam's because it is PH neutral. How does it stand up against The Chemical Guy's Pink and anything other? What is everyone's favorite car shampoo?

Also, save a few bucks and go with the Adam’s regular car wash. The newer Ultra Foam isn’t worth the premium IMO. |

TBH, I have never found any substantial differences among various soaps, besides price. Lately I have been using CarPro Reset because I know it's safe on my Cquartz, but I will say that it's the most concentrated and high-suds shit I've ever used. I don't think it really cleans any better than other product I've tried, but I can certainly use a lot less of it now.

My favorite is Meguiar's Hyper Wash D110. It's their professional grade formula. Works well and very economical with a 1 oz/5 gallon dilution ratio. $28 a gallon right now at detailedimage.com
Reset works great but is also $85 a gallon. I'm not convinced a 'pH neutral' soap is going to remove actual road film. That's the layer of crap you get if you ever drive when it rains. Eventually it builds up and nothing but an actual light polish or cleaner/wax type product will remove it. |

No worries. If you are planning on going with the garden hose method, most of them seem to be the same. I purchased this one in ‘09 and never had an issue.

I like Ammo Foam the best, but I have had good results with CG Honeydew Foam as well as Meguires Gold Class.
I use the Chemical Guys foamer - almost the same as the Gilmour |

Go with Adam's. I previously used Meguiar's Gold Class which worked great, but I had problems with water spotting even using filtered water. The Adam's Shampoo foams great, has a pleasant scent and a little goes a long way. Topped with their detail spray, the car looks freshly waxed all the time. Look into the Worx Powershot, they have a foam attachment that is great for cleaning cars.

So long as you use a PH neutral shampoo, you probably won't notice much of a difference. PH neutral is only important if you have a wax/sealant on your car that you don't want to strip off.
