About 5mm on the rears. 50$ ? 10$ / mm

I'll be at MSR Cresson tomorrow and can bring them if that works for you?

Heat cycled NT01s have about 85% of the grip of brand new Michelin PS4S tires. Heat cycled PS4S tires have about 75% of their brand new grip.

It's said that Cup 2s have 15% better performance over the PS4S tires and based on that, you can deduce that this post is entirely unhelpful.

I would say Nt01's are superior to p4s.

NT01's don't HC in my experience. They are fast to the cords. In fact, and many of my friends have had the same experience, the fastest laps come on the session where they finally cord.

That’s how the Ra1’s were

There’s a a lot of math in here but the real question is...can you hear over them on a Bluetooth call down to the cords

Found cords after setting a PR on NT01s two times.

There are some extensive threads on the NT01 splicing issue. I've driven with the splice and it's always gone away as the tread wore down. I've also had tires warrantied by Nitto.

I would just keep an eye on it and see if it gets worse. Or contact Nitto to get a warranty replacement.

I've seen maybe 200 sets gone through at the shop and never once saw that splice thing happen

That or the tires were used so quick to notice

Thanks guys. I had seen some of the splicing threads and needed to get another opinion on what the magnitude of the issue is. Seems small. Phew.

I have had two sets and each has spliced to a certain degree. It seems to be self-limited with strategic tire rotation (I run square) between track days. It’s also possible that the splices would fix themselves without any intervention at all. It’s kind of a PITA but the tires are budget crack so I keep going back for more hits.

This isn't really track related, but some principles do carry over to our side. I watched the whole series on diff covers so far and although I've always admired our diff cover, I really appreciate why it is the way it is.

Ultimately, it looks like he comes up with something similar to our finned diff covers.

Is the Aim Solo still the favorite as far as lap timers? I've been using Harry's lap timer w/ iPhone, but would like something more dedicated. If so is it worth getting the Solo2?
