Were you able to remove the shift pattern plastic cover without damaging the design on it?

Yes I was. Dinmann actually has a video on it I believe in their IG. I just used a very fine flat head and slowly applied pressure from the top pulling up.

Hey, just wanted to add one more suggestion for those looking to laminate their trim... When laying down the epoxy, little air bubbles often show up within the first 5-10 minutes as the epoxy begins to cure. If they are not addressed, the bubbles will appear in the finished product. If you see these bubbles appear, run a propane torch over the epoxy and the bubbles will be released. Start about 10-12 inches above the surface (with a wide flame) and keep the torch moving so you don’t burn the epoxy. If some of the bubbles are stubborn, you can inch your way a bit closer, but keep the torch moving. Pretty much common sense, but the closer you get, the faster you need to move the flame. This needs to be done within a few minutes of laying down the epoxy. After 15 minutes, it becomes very difficult to remove the bubbles and probably not worth the risk of burning the epoxy.

BTW OP, it looks great.
