i think the 275/35 would be a little too tall, a 275/30 would be better from what i understand

So for stock suspension setup if one wants to match Maleks setup should go 265-30-19 275-30-19? I will be sitting higher than zcp owners who are lower or on aftermarket springs and fit the 35 sidewall and no rub??? I am still puzzled how the 19x10 on Maleks lowered setup does not rub and I want to run the exact same setup on a non lowered M so in theory it should work from what Ive been able to gather here???

How much wheel protection do you have with a 275/30/19 tire on a 19x10 wheel?

Might want to consider looking at the Morr VS70's. They have a similar look to the ZCP's. Way lighter I believe (18 lbs).... I get tons of compliments on mine and they are rare. 18x10, 265's all around, lowered on Ohlin's. Very slight rubbing on the front but its due to the spacer i have on it to put them out a tad.

Malek, I know this is an older post; however, do you remember what suspension you were running with this setup? I tried installing my rear ZCP wheel - 19x10" ET25 w/ 265/35/19 tire in the front and it rubbed with the bottom spring perch/adjustable ring of my KW sleeve kit. Maybe you were running springs on stock suspension? Thanks!

5mm spacers will provide adequate clearance for KW variants or clubsports, but the sleeve kit requires a touch more room (about 8mm IIRC). With that said, the 19x10" ET25 up front will clear stock suspension with lowering springs, as well as many aftermarket coilovers. - Ryan

Current Setup:
Standard ZCP wheels / suspension Rear - 275/35 MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4s with 12mm spacer Front - 255/35 MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4S with 10 mm spacer I am currently powder coating another set of ZCP wheels and intend to try running the larger 10inch wheels in the front for a squared setup. I want to try and move the 12mm spacer to the rear as part of this change since I will not need it in the front anymore. I would appreciate help deciding which tires to get for the front. This thread and others lead me to believe that the 275 tires will not fit in the front. It would be great to head towards sizes that I can rotate in the future. The current tires have about 2k miles on them. Any recommendations that would get me to a good spot in the front that then allow me to replace the rears when needed for a square tire setup? Or should I forget about the square tires as part of this to keep a wider tire in the back? I really like the sidewall height of my current tires and would prefer not to go lower. My main goal is to preserve the look I have and get rid of the spacer in the front (vibrations!). I also want to feel how it affects driving on grooved pavement and understeer. All help is appreciated, thanks! |

Answer: 275/30/19 Scenario B: Square wheels/"staggered" tires for front:rear tire height delta Answer: Front; 275/30/19, Rear; 275/35/19 >255 section width with a 35-series sidewall is simply too tall for the front and will rub (sans intense negative camber and decreased caster.) Square setups that I have previously run: 359M wheels (10" width) -- 265/30/19 (Pilot Cup Sport 2, 275/30 were not available; would not purchase 265/30 again as the sidewall is too short) 220M wheels (9.5" width) -- 275/30/19 (Pilot Super Sport) no rubbing and great feel I'll look for pictures of both setups once I'm back home |

Many years ago Malek had the thread on running a square setup on the cars: here.
I struggle to get his input on questions these days and it appears much of the images were hosted by service that no longer allows them to be viewed. In any case what you will find in that thread is the key height measurement that seems to be the threshold for rubbing at full steering-lock. I'm not flush with images of the different setups I've had, however did find two examples: 220M (9.5" width) with 275/30/19 359M (10" width) with 265/30/19 What you can maybe note is how 265/30 is simply too small for the 10" 359M--the tires look almost like rubber bands and by sizing up to the 275/30 I would be been a far happier person, hah. Again, the reason I went with 265/30 was size availability for the Cup Sport 2. I experimented, a lot, a real lot, with different suspension setups on the white E92 and never once had issues with the 275/30/19 tires. |

Got my wheels back and I am very close to pulling the trigger on this square setup:
ZCP Suspension 19x10 inch 359m wheels squared Front 265/35/19 Rear: 275/35/19 I have found a couple posts with people running this setup, Malek@MRF being one of them. I am trying to avoid going to 275/30 and loosing all that sidewall. I am looking for someone to prevent me from wasting tire money or reassuring me that it will work. |

The only sidewall you are losing is a bit in the rear, and it's within the accepted tolerance of 3%. I don't know why you'd go to the trouble of buying a square setup and then run staggered tires. It defeats the entire purpose.
In fact, your proposed setup has a MUCH taller front tire for no reason at all. 265/35/19 front is a lot bigger than stock.

Going to 275/30 is an .3 inch reduction in front sidewall and a .6 inch in the rear for me. Stock was 245/35 front and 265/35 rear. Going from that setup to 275/30 is a .2 inch reduction in sidewall for the front and a .5 inch reduction in the rear. This just seems like a really low profile that is going have me even more paranoid about potholes. I gave more context earlier in the thread around my motivations... a lot of it is form over function. I want to remove my spacers as they cause vibrations and retain the look. All the evidence points to 275/30 being the best path forward... Maybe I can find someone that will let me test their stock rears on my front before I pull the trigger. |

I think it's silly trying to run the taller sidewalls with 19s.
You want form over function, 265/35 look like balloons IMO and 275/30 will look better and function better. Buy 18s if you want more sidewall.

I've been running this square setup for about 5 years. Love the look and ability to cycle wheels to all 4 corners. Going to be due for new tires next spring and am torn as to what to do.
Current Setup- 10" ZCP's all around, 265/35/19's, 5MM Front Spacer, 12MM Rear Debating going to a 275/30/19 or maybe doing something like a 255/35 up front and a 285/30 in the back. Hesitant to go with a lower profile due to the mediocre roads around here...
