Yes COMplex is on crack with that one but a stock turbo 335 on poutine would walk all over the 458.

Nice pull dude. SC M3s are beasts at speed! I refrain from pulling against M3s to save myself the embarrassment lol

Keep in mind we are at 6k elevation. COMplex is on FBO + Custom E85 map (no mix) so his car is pretty quick for stock turbos..... All motor cars really take a hurting up here. Altitude completely changes the car game.

The S4 is the only car (plus other 3.0T equipped VW's) that adopts such system. All other SC'd cars, whether they are factory supercharged or not, don't have such system.

Oh for real, no other factory supercharged engines has this type of waste gate system, I thought most of them had some!? So every supercharged engine(except the 3.0t) suffer the same lost of boost at altitude as our ESS cars, I thought this was mainly a problem for centrifugial blower!?

I guess I should have been slightly more specific. You can't just take a 335, slap a tune on and run with 458s. If I get a chance to run him again next weekend I'll try and grab some video.

My 335i made 400hp/475tq to the wheels (corrected) on the initial e85 tune, which was about 5 tune-revisions ago. I estimate I'm closer to 450hp/500tq+ now since additional tune changes by ProTuningFreaks, but have yet to dyno again. Even if not, the car has picked up a noticeable gain in the mid-range (where it counts)

The mods that matter for this discussion:
Cobb AccessPort
Protuned by Jake@PTF Full E85 Ethanol Tune (no mix, straight pump E85)
ETS 7" FMIC
Dual Cone Intakes
Forge DVs
AR Design catless downpipes
Autobahn Exotics Full Exhaust
Walbro 450 Fuel Pump
Unmodified stock turbos

Thanks. As far as the engine goes. She is plenty health running 9psi at 6k elevation. There have been people running 12psi on this engine at sea level for extended periods with zero issues. These engines are a bit more stout then people think

But what did you expect from this race? A blown m3 with that much power of course will take a car with less hp. The Ferrari 458 is in such a different league it means nothing.

A tuned 335 with turbo upgrade can beat a Ferrari.

Just silly and agree with the above. Blown civics beat m3's ..as would be expected.

You slap an aftermarket big turbo upgrade on an engine and then beat a bone stock Ferrari AND you jump the start. To me that is just embarrassing as an m3 owner
I do have to agree with you to a point.

Slap on an UG Racing Turbo (apples to apples here) on the 458 and the Ferrari will put football field lengths on the M3 with a supercharger. Just like the fastest Gallardo in the world with the UG turbo.

I have been in E46 M3s that would put a spanking on this SC E92 M3 by I can almost bet 10-20 car lengths. Its all relative.

Run a turbo VS turbo. Run stock VS stock and the 458 destroys our slow ass M3.

Good kill none the less because sometimes you bring what you bring to a race and this day the M3 was faster.

I do believe AA has a car that has been running 12+ psi for 6+ months with zero issues.... I may be off with some of the info, but that's what I have heard. As well as Gintani testing limits of a stock block well over 600hp as well.

That's most likely a misconception or you are misinformed. The said systems are not capable of running those psi with standard internals and most importantly a standard fuel system. It's not the block in question rather cylinder & connecting rods, due to increased compression ratio vs increased induction, paired with fuel delivery. Most failures occur by insufficient fuel supply.

I'm pretty sure AA has a car running 12psi, stock block with fuel upgrades for 6+ months

And so many Americans moving to Mexico that they are changing the off ramps to English. I will say it. Take it to the track. Beat the 458 on a drag strip then brag all you want. Then the race is as fair as it gets.

BTW if the M3 still won, I'd take the 458 10 times over.

I'm sure everyone has seen the result without altitude involved. Much different outcome...
What's the latest with the E85 setup and more boost?
